North Devon has some of the most rugged coastline in the country, and it was this I wanted to capture. Locations such as Hartland Quay and Ilfracombe, with their jagged rocks jutting out of the sea, provided the necessary drama. What I hadn’t expected though, was to be photographing woodland, but opposite our holiday cottage in Weare Gifford was Weare Wood that offered a lot of opportunity in a relatively small space.
